I am currently a HR Generalist providing overall HR Support to Mitsui Chemicals America (MCA). Some of my primary functions include benefits administration, payroll verification, recruiting and day-to-day HR functions.
MCA recently established a new company, Whole You, Inc., in which I provided overall HR support on top of managing my own responsibilities at MCA. With my assistance, the company recruited and hired about 10 positions simultaneously. This project was a monumental one because it was crucial for hire the right staff members in order for production to begin by the targeted date.
Working for MCA located in Rye Brook, New York, I find that the Japanese corporate culture in the company still is ever present. Through working alongside local and expatriate coworkers, I have learnt about how businesses function in other parts of the world and how it influences operations in my home base.
