Materials Laboratory

The Materials Laboratory, which belongs to the Development Center of the Performance Materials Business Sector, is developing materials used in containers, packaging, electronics, automotive components, and coating products. The Materials Laboratory not only develops materials, but also offers solutions to customers, for example, proposals that satisfy mold processing technology problems, that can help lower production costs.

Functional Olefin Polymers

In the field of functional olefin polymers, our world-renowned catalyst technology and material design capabilities result in high-quality functional olefin polymer products that meet the needs of customers and the environment.

Functional olefin polymers are classified into elastomers and specialty polyolefins, and are used in a wide range of applications.

Elastomers

In the elastomer field, as a result of advanced catalyst polymerization technologies and novel resin design capabilities, we are developing elastomer products that offer higher performance and cost reduction for the customer.

The "Mitsui EPT" ethylene-propylene diene terpolymer, the "MILASTOMER™ " thermoplastic olefinic elastomer, and the "TAFMER™" alpha-olefinic copolymer have unique automotive and industrial applications.
