New Materials Development Center
In the field of performance materials, the New Materials Development Center is responsible for matching Mitsui's many new differentiated materials and technologies with market needs as part of a cross-functional project for early commercialization.
Projects that target priority fields
Initiate projects that meet market needs and accelerate the development of new products.
New Automotive Materials Development Project
By integrating proprietary olefin polymerization catalysts, condensation polymerization, and material design technologies, the New Automotive Materials Development Project aims to develop highly competitive automotive products possessing superior functionality and improved cost performance.

Superior performance, new energy saving materials developed by Mitsui Chemicals
Performance Film & Sheet Development Project
The Performance Film & Sheet Development Project will use Mitsui Chemicals' differentiated technologies to develop new polymer compounds, films & sheets that meet market needs.
Advanced Materials Development Project
The Advanced Materials Development Project is exploring market needs as well as developing new markets for the differentiated advanced materials that have been developed at Mitsui Chemicals using proprietary technologies such as polymerization catalysts, the functional modification of polymeric materials, and condensation polymerization.
